Membership in Fabrangen

Thank you for your participation in Fabrangen during the past year, as we continue to work together to create our own unique and meaningful Jewish experience.
  • torahFabrangen continues to provide a full cycle of holiday celebrations, including our signature High Holiday services, organized and led by members of the Fabrangen community. These High Holiday services continue to attract hundreds of unaffiliated members from the wider Jewish community.
  • The Steering Committee has worked hard to improve our budgeting and financial management, including the development of a new investment program that will help stabilize our finances.
  • The Steering Committee has also laid the foundation for new initiatives in adult programming and tzedakah (social service) projects that will start up in 2011.

stretchIn addition to the active participation of our members, the Fabrangen community also requires strong financial support to provide space for services and programming, books and other ritual items, child care, and staff to coordinate the many details required to operate a congregation. For Fabrangen, our main sources of income are membership dues and High Holidays donations. Because of increasing costs, the community voted on December 12, 2010 to raise membership dues for the coming year from $460 to $530 for an individual membership, and from $920 to $1,060 for a family membership.

If you haven't paid your 2010 membership dues, please send us your payment by January 31, 2011, so we can wrap up one year and focus on the next.

To join in 2011:

You may call our office 202-595-9138 for a confidential discussion with our coordinator if circumstances prevent you from paying the prescribed dues.
