& Friends Jewish Song Group

Fabrangen's first song swap
to share and teach songs was Sunday, July 9, 2006 4:00 - 5:30 PM
at Mayorga Coffee Factory in Silver Spring, MD

Over 40 people - adults, teenagers, children, Fabrangen members and non-members, Hebrew speakers and non-Hebrew speakers -- joined together to share, teach, and learn new songs. The songs included a beautiful Sephardic Havdalah piece, a Russian Jewish farm collective song from the 1920's, Yiddish songs, and new melodies for traditional parts of the liturgy. An accordion, a bass, and two guitars accompanied the group.
