Fabrangen High Holidays 2008/5769

Torah scrollAs the High Holidays approach, Fabrangen cordially invites you, your family, and friends to join us for our 2008/5769 High Holiday services. We are proud to continue our tradition of opening our services to the entire community with no tickets or reservations required.

Our services for the High Holidays are guided by several principles:

  • a creative mix of traditional and innovative worship
  • egalitarian and participatory services that seek to include everyone in the spiritual experience, regarding of gender, age, religious background, or affiliation
  • member-led services that engage the congregation

Torah scrollNo Tickets Required

We do not issue tickets and we do not require reservations for any of our services or activities. Everyone is welcome to worship with us.

Location

Once again, many of our services will be held at the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, 1313 New York Avenue NW, Washington DC. It is Metro-accessible via the Metro Center station. Parking is available on the street as well as in several private parking lots in the area. Fabrangen holds services in the main sanctuary.

This year, New York Avenue Presbyterian Church will begin renovations after Rosh Hashanah. Our Yom Kippur services will be held at a location to be announced.

Children’s Programs

We offer age-appropriate children’s services and programming for school-age children and professionally-supervised childcare for younger children.

High Holiday Contributions

blowing the shofarWhile we do not require tickets or advance payment to attend, we greatly appreciate contributions to defray our costs and allow us to continue to no-ticket services open to the entire community. We suggest a donation of $100 per adult. For children, we suggest a donation of $35 or one child, $60 for two children, and $75 for three or more children.
