Fabrangen now participates in a LifesQR memorial website for our section (74) at Garden of Remembrance (GOR) in Clarksburg, MD.
LifesQR is a small metal plate with a QR code, that attaches to tombstones and allows visitors to access memorial content through their cell phones. Garden of Remembrance is introducing this option for families, and has given a QR-coded plate free (a 35-year subscription) to Fabrangen as a pilot of this project. The metal plate has been attached to the Fabrangen bench in our section.
In addition to scanning the QR code at the cemetery, you can see our content by accessing it online.

Our content on the Life’s QR platform includes lists of deceased Fabrangeners, sorted by place of burial, to help visitors remember Fabrangeners buried elsewhere. There is also a gallery of photographs of deceased Fabrangeners. To add a photograph, please send a photo to lifesqr@fabrangen.org. We suggest choosing one photo per person. If you are not a family member but know one, please contact them for their permission before forwarding your photo.
We apologize for any names we may have missed and encourage you to send them to us at lifesqr@fabrangen.org.
Families can obtain their own metal plate for individual tombstones, and add extensive content (obituaries, eulogies, more photos, documents, links, a guest book for curated comments, etc.). For a limited time, GOR will provide complimentary QR codes and the associated small metal plate, which they will install, to individual families. Later, the standard cost will be $180 or included with monuments purchased through GOR directly. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, see this link which connects to GOR, not LifesQR.
Thank you for your interest in remembering dear Fabrangen members. May their memories be a continuing blessing.
